Among the pros we found in our review were its ability to create the most “consistent and flavorful batches” of all different types of rice, from brown and jasmine to short-grain white rice. Those perfect results come courtesy of Zojirushi’s “fuzzy logic” technology, which uses a microchip that adjusts cooking time and temperature to adapt to the type of grain you're cooking, be it quinoa, oatmeal, porridge or, of course, rice. While we did find the control panel to be less than intuitive, it still produced the most consistently quality rice of all the models we tried, making it a must-have for any grain lovers out there.

It also has plenty of useful safety features, including a large LCD screen display, a programmable delay timer, a reheating cycle for leftover grains, a “keep warm” mode, side handles on the inner pan to prevent burns and a retractable cord, which make carrying and transporting it a breeze. No wonder nearly 1,700 Amazon reviewers gave it a 5-star rating!

These handy little appliances are perfect for those who aren’t looking to sacrifice a ton of counter space for the additional utility—this high-tech model, in particular, has a rounded shape that will fit comfortably even if you’re working with minimal prep space.
