FLINT, Mich. — Former Michigan State University star and ex-NFL receiver Andre Rison has pleaded guilty to violating probation by failing to maintain child support payments and testing positive for marijuana.

The Flint Journal reports that Rison appeared Tuesday in federal court in Flint, Michigan.

A judge ordered Rison to continue probation. Prosecutors said Tuesday they would seek prison time if Rison violates probation again.

Rison's attorney, Fred Meiers, told the court "there won't be a problem again."
